I got a Debevoise CB earlier today. Interviewer DR, suggested that he'd just come from a meeting wrapping up those decisions. Nothing from Gibson here either.Anonymous User wrote:Radio silence so far.Anonymous User wrote:

Re: Yale FIP 2014
Has anyone received an email to schedule their Weil CB? I received the CB invite by phone mid-last week but was told that an email to schedule the CB would follow. Still waiting on that.
Also, any word on Debevoise (with GK) or Gibson Dunn (NY)?

I only just received my Weil callback yesterday. My guess is that they have been slow to callback students, and are waiting until everyone has heard by phone before sending the email.

Yes - I received a call from MH at DPW Saturday morning (and an email Friday night) for a callback.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone hear from DPW with MH?

Is there any hope for callbacks at this point? Anyone hear of callbacks going out the week after FIP for ny firms last year?

How's everyone's hit rate so far?
I feel like I'm drastically underperforming. Only converted close to a third of my screeners to callbacks. Is this normal?

Me, too. I'm at approximately a third as well.Anonymous User wrote:How's everyone's hit rate so far?

And it's not like I have "red flags" on my resume or transcript (LPs, PhD degree in astronomy, etc.).

I'm converting less than a third (but my bidding strategy was pretty bad probably). So yeah, more people than you are doing poorly.Anonymous User wrote:How's everyone's hit rate so far?

Re: Yale FIP 2014
Same - I'm converting less than a third, although my bidding strategy was also pretty bad. I've noticed that almost all the CBs I have were with interviewers that I just happened to connect with (e.g., same home state, mutual friend at the firm, a shared passionate interest). Given that, it just feels like a random/crapshoot process.Anonymous User wrote:I'm converting less than a third (but my bidding strategy was pretty bad probably). With straight P's, I converted close to 40% into callbacks. That includes multiple V10's, one of which was my top choice even before I got my grades.
Very happy to be at Yale right now.
