Has anyone heard from the NRC judicial law clerk program? I will take any news at this point. Did anyone interview with them at OCI?
Also, for the person inquiring about HUD, I have not heard anything from them yet.

Last year, I think they contacted for 2nd round about 3 to 4 weeks after the 1st interview. If we don't hear back this week, then I think its game over.Anonymous User wrote:Early October.Anonymous User wrote:No dice. Does "referred" actually mean they looked at your application? I got the sense from USAJOBs postings in the past that as long as you meet the criteria, you get referred to the next round. I was referred but my stats aren't awesome... hair below median, top50 school, but previous fed gov experience.Anonymous User wrote:DOE contact said to expect about 3-4 weeks between a "Referred" status and communication re: interviews.
Interested on other DOE's applicants' stats here. (Top 15%/LR/Top 50 LS/firm experience with coal, wind and gas generator transactions and litigation).
Also does anybody have any idea if FERC is going to participate in an Honors Program this year, or if they will be making their entry level postings around the same times as last year?

Re: Government Honors Programs 2014-2015 Cycle
From my understanding there are 4 steps to the USAJOB postings. Received, Qualified, Referred, and Selected. The "Referred" status means that you are considered one of the "best qualified" candidates. It is from this pool that they select interviews. So it basically means you're in the second round of consideration for an interview.Anonymous User wrote:

For instance, the NRC opening on USAJOBs sent me an email that i am "qualified" but not "referred" yet. Also the NRC said it's a lengthy process to get to referred (aka best qualified applicants). I'm expecting to hear from them in about a month as to whether or not I am referred.

Re: Government Honors Programs 2014-2015 Cycle
I received an email from HR at NRC a couple of weeks ago stating that I was qualified and they would be reviewing my application to see if I am "best qualified" from the candidate pool. They said this step is "lengthy" but they would contact me when the review was finished.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone heard from the NRC judicial law clerk program? Re: Government Honors Programs 2014-2015 Cycle
Had interview/callback (in DC) with FDIC in the past week. At the end of my interview, they said that the expected timeline is to finish interviews sometime next week and then have offers out sometime in November. I was told by a different FDIC attorney that they keep the number of callbacks relatively small (somewhere between 10 and 20 depending on the year). I applied later in the process so I would assume that most if not all callbacks have been extended based on the deadlines the attorney mentioned.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone with news from the FDIC?

Did you interview with a panel or just one attorney? (Noticed reference to "they" in your post).Anonymous User wrote:Had interview/callback (in DC) with FDIC in the past week. I'm in a similar boat. Just comparing stories/situations at this point.

Re: Government Honors Programs 2014-2015 Cycle
I'm the quoted anon. It was the panel of three attorneys and my understanding is that those 3 attorneys do all the interviews and have for at least several years. I would have to believe that since they always ask the same questions year after year and interview after interview, it could get pretty boring/mundane at times. And having to speed-write all the BS that people say doesn't sound fun. I thought several of the questions were overlapping/redundant so there were some times I really had to stretch to put a new spin on something or come up with something new all together.Anonymous User wrote:Did you interview with a panel or just one attorney? The other FDIC attorney I mentioned in my original post is someone I've known for several years, and is generally familiar with the hiring process.
Best of luck to you. I'll post on here as soon as I hear one way or another.

Best of luck to you as well; I'll do the same. Everything you said in your post sounds on par with my experience -- I asked about the panel because a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend heard (you're already assuming what I'm about to say is unreliable) that a few people were interviewed by just one attorney. Since that wasn't how things went for me, I was a little worried. Thanks for your post and good luck!Anonymous User wrote: I'm the quoted anon. My first round dhs interview wasn't even three weeks ago, so i would give it another week before considering it a lost cause.

Re: Government Honors Programs 2014-2015 Cycle
Did anyone in this thread apply to NSA Honors or knows anyone who did and has heard anything? I received an email for a preliminary phone screen, but I don't know a single other person that has applied to compare notes with. I'm assuming if we've heard absolutely nothing from DHS at this point then it's a definite no-go.
