If you have good grades it doesn't really help much.
If you have shit grades, it doesn't really help much.
Maybe it helps for people who have pretty good grades but write on anyway. PRobably makes them look like the top of the class even when they aren't.

I disagree -- Law review is huge. Especially for federal clerkships and if you want to become a law professor. Even those aside, employers love its prestige and it is something to speak about during an interview.
