Hope you're better at investing than you are accounting, because your depreciation skills are so not GAAP compliant. You can get a pretty good handle on how much a car will depreciate by looking at its leasing rates. Leases utilize a money factor instead of an interest rate (same thing basically) which is much lower than the equivalent interest rate on a purchase (think roughly 1.5% vs. 4-5%).

Leasing would also be the ultimate faux YOLO.

I don't think many people can do 0-60 in a bike in under 3 seconds.. It's a challenge to keep the front wheel down on fast bikes. The more standard way of measuring how fast something is 1/4 miles times. A stock 1000cc sports bike, with a really good driver, is typically capable of running the 1/4 miles somewhere in the high 10 second range (depending on the bike). You can get a car into the low 10s with fuel injection, sometimes even the 9s, while still being streetable. Obviously, the bike is a lot faster on the open road though, since it's smaller and lighter. (That is, you can easily get a bike over 185+ mph on the highway in a city while still being somewhat safe (for that speed); whereas, a 185+ in a car on the highway in a city is insane.) From the perspective, I suppose a sports bike fits OP's YOLO lifestyle a little better.* I'd recommend a busa if he wants to go that route though.
