Anyone know if N.C. CoA or Business Court have made interview offers yet?

I've gotten some feedback from NC. I'll post it later, since it mostly came by letter. Short story, be patient. I don't think most NC COA judges are interviewing yet.

People who've done NJ supreme... do you think I'm too late for NJ trial? Not competitive for Supreme anyway so wasn't planning to apply there, but hate to think I've sat too long on superior court.

Have not hear from any of the 4 Maine Courts. For some reason I thought supreme was interviewing mid month and superior was at the end of the month, but I can't find anything to confirm this.kalvano wrote:Anyone heard from:

For state trial level, I doubt it's too late. I know some presiding judges are making calls along with the Appellate Division and some on the Supreme Court, but not many.brassmonkey7 wrote:People who've done NJ supreme... do you think I'm too late for NJ trial? When did the Gonzalez letter go out? Did you interview with him or just submit an application?

I just applied. It was not a surprising rejection, no interview. I got the email earlier today.

Also, on that note, Justice Wiggins, Justice Stephens, and Justice Fairhurst of the Washington SSC is done, as is Judge Robin Hunt of the COA Division II in Tacoma.
Also, Judge Lau of COA Division I is done, I believe.
Justice Johnson of the Washington SSC will interview in the fall (not sure when).
I have some more at home via letter that I can't post right now, but I'll try and post tomorrow.

Re: State Court Clerkships
VT SSC supposedly did interviews at the end of August, so if you didn't get one, I think you're out. Trial courts are still taking applications, I believe. Didn't even start until September 1st.
Mass, not sure about. I think the SSC is supposed to start soon, but COA not for a while.
NH sent me my rejection for the Superior Court, but I've not heard anything from SSC.
I'll also try and post everything I've heard from NC and PA tomorrow.

Thanks for the updates. I'll keep ppl posted as I hear back. Hawaii SC has not started and Rhode Island Chief Justice of SC is done.
Who knew state supreme courts and court of appeals clerkships would be so uber competitive. Glad I threw tons of hats into the ring.

Re: State Court Clerkships
Was there a deadline to apply to the Texas Supreme Court? I don't see one listed, and I haven't seen anyone on here mention any interviews yet. I'm thinking about sending my application materials this week. For those that applied to the judges accepting email applications, did your CSO or recommenders email the two recommendation letters separate from your own email with your application materials?
