Re: Only 4 SA's from IUB?
While we're talking Midwest schools I know of 4-5 people doing biglaw SAs in Chicago from UW-Madison. 2 Mayer Brown, 1 Sidley, at least 1, maybe 2 at Latham. Chicago is a tough market, but this is better than last year where 3 people had biglaw SAs in Chicago.
Also if it interests people, I count 20 people in the class of 2012 who had NLJ250 jobs 2L summer from Wisconsin. Bear in mind this is less than 10% of the ~250 person class. That sounds about right for class of 2013 also.
If people want more detail from last year's data I can post that.

Unless K&E has made an additional offer since the firm sent out the SA list, UIUC does not have 4 going there.Anonymous User wrote:So thus far we know of at least the following UIUC Biglaw Chicago placements:
2 Sidley (out of a class size of 40+)
4 at K&E (out of a class size of 50+)
3 at Mayer Brown (out of a class size of 30)
at least 1 at Jenner
Winston?
That's roughly 10 UIUC people at the Chicago heavyweights. I might hesitate to call that a good showing from the state's flagship law school.

Weird. Might've been some confusion with people who got an offer but didn't accept.Anonymous User wrote:Unless K&E has made an additional offer since the firm sent out the SA list, UIUC does not have 4 going there.Anonymous User wrote:So thus far we know of at least the following UIUC Biglaw Chicago placements:

Not an IUB, but from the new NLJ250 numbers, http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNL ... 2543436520, the upper limit for the class of 2011 would be 12 at NLJ250 firms based on a class size of 193 and an upper placement limit of 6% (IUB didn't make the top 50 law schools, so it is somewhere between 0 and 6.48%).
