To the person who is very familiar with Freshfields, would one year spent studying in London getting a UK grad degree from a prestigious London school as well as a lot of family there be helpful? I would love to start my early career in London and don't have any of that fear of not being in the US for the first 3-5+ years of my career (I tried to make these ties/that point clear in my cover letter/email to recruiting). At a T10 school but grades were pretty blah

at my T6 they said B+ average required, LR/journal preferred, plus foreign language skills. don't know how much they stick to that though.

I doubt whoever said Freshfields is still taking people is right, I know two people from my school alone who have accepted offers there. According to NALP they are only taking 3 summers in London and 9 in NYC.

Got an email from my career planning office with some firms still looking to hire. It says White & Case NYC is still looking for more resumes for 2L summers. Also Fox Rothschild DC.

It's on NYU's Symplicity. Application window open until Nov. 4th. So that person (wasn't me) is right.

Mayer Brown (Hong Kong) and Kilpatrick (ATL) are still looking for 2Ls.

Because they just posted a job opening, literally yesterday, on our Symplicity. (Not the person who reported Kilpatrick above).

Also know that Morgan Lewis Miami is looking for someone. They just gave me a CB, this long after OCI, but I turned them down (already accepted an offer).

I think he means if anyone on TLS has heard out of their recruiting offices if those firms are still hiring, have made offers, or have had all offers accepted.

This thread has been pretty helpful so far - had an interview with one of the firms posted. WUSTL isn't really getting the calls looking for kids - I know you're not supposed to give that info to the masses, but I would appreciate any PM's. I just got a ding from my last CB I had outstanding, so I'm starting to freak out. Thanks.
