I had (what I thought were) awesome interviews with the associates but they told me point blank that it's the opinion of the partners that matters.

I had (what I thought were) awesome interviews with the associates but they told me point blank that it's the opinion of the partners that matters.

Same. One associate told me, "I'm your last interviewer, huh? Well, that's cool, we can talk about whatever you want since you already met with the partners."

Same. I loved the associates but they both told me that I shouldn't worry as their role was just to answer questions. Both sold the firm really well. Partner interviews didn't go terribly but I didn't feel like I was truly clicking with either of them.

Grats. As I was likely waiting on the results of the same hiring committee meeting, I'll expect my snail-mail rejection any day now.

I'm not sure if Cahill is quite done. The hiring partner I spoke with said that he was still finishing out the class.

I really hope this is true. Cahill is my first choice right now and I'm dangerously close to striking out...again.

Rejection letter came in yesterday. Makes the thank you/"Loved your firm, will accept offer if extended" letter I sent the hiring partner that he hasn't received yet all the more awkward!

We might be the same person. Got my rejection yesterday as well, and I also sent one of those emails.

I knew I was sunk when the only thing he talked about before the "Q&A" phase of our interview was a list of students from my school with far better grades than me they'd already snagged. Sent the thank you on the hopes that it might make a difference, but the conventional wisdom here seems to control.

About 2 weeks after I mailed the form and receipts to them- they were one of the faster ones so you should have your money pretty quickly.
