Wow. How does a firm go from reporting to NALP that they're looking for 6 2L's to canceling the program entirely? Must have been a rough quarter?Anonymous User wrote:They've canceled entirely.

Re: Connecticut firms?
I think Shipman might be being extremely selective, or something. I interviewed with them and had a really good interview (and even after having finished OCI I look back at it and know it went really well). I grew up in/have family in CT, had personal ties to the firm, hit it off with the interviewer, and came from BC/BU. Got dinged a week after the interview. Not like I was expecting a callback, but I was a little surprised to see it.

If you don't mind me asking... when was your screener? 2L or 3L?

Re: Connecticut firms?
Anyone (please specify if 2L or 3L) had a callback at Shipman & Goodwin? If so, have you heard anything yet and how did you hear? Thanks, would really appreciate the info. I had a callback with them (3L) and am waiting, was not given a definite time frame as to when they would respond.

Re: Connecticut firms?
How does the OCI process work for 3Ls? Did you summer at a firm last year? Did you just apply for a screener with Shipman through OCI like everyone else?

3Ls just apply through OCI, fewer spots generally though

That office must be hyper-competitive to get an offer at; I know of people across the country who had CBs there and none have been rejected. The rate must be like 25-33%Anonymous User wrote:Shipman callback today via email, two weeks after screener. 3L. Hang in there!
