Do we just fill out the excel spreadsheet to bid on the additional interviews? The email they sent was super cryptic.

Your bid order can tell a little bit. If you get like 21-25, then it`s probably preselect.Anonymous User wrote:did anyone figure out how to tell if you were a preselect / lottery?

maybe the question is better asked this way, how many interviews would you get if you only got lottery interviews?baboon309 wrote:Your bid order can tell a little bit. Are any of you bidding at OCI for firms that did not give you an interview at CCBA? My issue is that I got bids from firms ranging from my 7th - 22nd choice out of 25.

Does anyone know if the firms are also capped at 8 interviews?

Each employer’s schedule contains 16 interview slots. Employers will pre-select one-half of their interview schedule(s) and rank 20 alternates. With pre-selection, each employer is guaranteed to meet those students it considers most promising amongst the students expressing an interest in that particular employer. The remaining one-half of the employer interview schedule will be filled based upon the student bidding process.incescwetrust wrote:Does anyone know if the firms are also capped at 8 interviews?

Great -- thank you. Do you know whether the employers expect us to bring the "additional information" to the interviews? It's probably a dumb question, but I guess I'm not sure if the additional information request was for our bid vs. being required information at the interview.baboon309 wrote:Each employer’s schedule contains 16 interview slots. you should always bring everything you think they might want. the very most anyone would print and have in preparing to interview you is your resume (and they may not have / probably have not read it before hand)incescwetrust wrote:Great -- thank you. People should post their results when they come in.
Me, so far 5 interviews, 0 responses (fair was Friday, today is Sunday so I don't expect to hear news until next week anyway)

Yeah, one firm told me this, but some told me much sooner. Many said they are meeting early this week and should let me know soon. I will post when I have more info.Anonymous User wrote:I was told two weeks. But yeah, lets post.

I think we should all keep a running of screeners/Callbacks/Offers so we can determine which employers are actually trying to fill positions or just showed up to say they were at the CCBA Minority Fair. I think it would be interesting to see callbacks and even more so offers. Also to see if the offers are going to people who would get offers at OCI anyway. Just a thought.

Totally agree. There's a thread on SEMJF that is doing just that. Lets do it.Anonymous User wrote:I think we should all keep a running of screeners/Callbacks/Offers so we can determine which employers are actually trying to fill positions or just showed up to say they were at the CCBA Minority Fair. How long does it take for most firms to get back to you after the screener? I've had one callback several days after the screeners (from KC fair), but have not heard back from other 10 firms yet.
