Just cut it off, re-grow that bitch if/when you get hired like everybody else does. No need to guess, ppl get dinged for anything don't let your thing be facial hair.

See, this is the ultimate CR. I give up the beard (this is coming from someone that can't STAND not having facial hair) and regrow it after you get an offer. Simple as that. Why risk your future on something as stupid as your aversion to shaving your cool guy beard? Once again, I sport a cool guy beard.

What about the possibility the OP really does look better with the beard and therefore could lose a potential job offer on the basis of looking baby faced?

Surely if he gets dinged without the beard he'd never know whether that decision to shave made the difference and cost him the offer.
