Another 0L?

I really don't get the flip responses on this thread. (Well, except from 0Ls, that's to be expected.) I think I might be interviewing at the same firm as the OP (or there is another one, which I might interview at as well)... And, yeah, guess what, it does cause some stress. I've interviewed in very different regions and professional fields, some of which are known for very casual dress, and this is the very first time that I've actually been explicitly told not to wear a suit before. I certainly never expected to hear that from a law firm.

And, as people have pointed out, there are different interpretations of what it means. So, yeah, "interview business casual" is probably something worth discussing. That said, any place that casual probably won't have any snappy dressers, and they're looking for geeky types, so I think OP and I can probably relax.

I still wouldn't wear black slacks though, I think they look silly. You can still wear black shoes with most other colors of slacks, even if brown shoes are better. But, if you're traveling to multiple callbacks, packing space is at a premium -- I'll just wear a black belt. Good luck, OP.

You think black slacks look "silly"? That's about the strangest male fashion take I've ever heard.
