I just got a screener in another market at a firm I had applied to pre-oci, after I sent them an updated resume post-oci and told them I was still interested. I know nyc moves faster but could be worth a shot.Anonymous User wrote:Should you follow up with firms with resumes again after you ahve applied but not heard back yet from?

By updated resume, is this like formatting changes or actual new content? For me my onmly excuse for update is fomarting changes that makes it look better and a small typo on some versionsAnonymous User wrote:I just got a screener in another market at a firm I had applied to pre-oci, after I sent them an updated resume post-oci and told them I was still interested. I had additional journal information, but I wonder if you couldn't just reach out in a similar way. Or play around with the bullets for a job? I think the main function is letting them know you're still interested. I'm sure it wasn't my journal that caused them to finally respondAnonymous User wrote:By updated resume, is this like formatting changes or actual new content? Did you tell them here's my resume or did you tell them what you changed. I was thinking of just branding mine as here is my latest resume (I did remove an unergrad summer job though in favor of more spacing etc) For firms where when you email general recurtiing for an update and it bounces back saying You apply only via their portal and this email account is not monitored and you will hear back only if they want you should you still update them or are you pestering them and not following directions that says You will hear back from us if we want to pursure you further.

"I had submitted an application earlier this summer but wanted to reaffirm my interest and provide an updated resume." was the relevant part. No idea what their instructions were at the time but I reached out to the recruiting contact on their website.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:I had additional journal information, but I wonder if you couldn't just reach out in a similar way. Thanks, just curious was this to the director of recuriting/manager of recuriting or was this to a general hotline that is probably managed by a secetrary. I am scared when the contact given is the Director of Legal Recruiting or Head/Manager of recuriting because I seem relatively unimportant for a firm's higher up to look at

It was to a recruiting manager, but I think whoever is on the nalp form/website is used to getting these sorts of things

Has anyone heard anything from Withers? Also, do firms typically wait until after Labor Day to give the bulk of their offers?

Dam. they are my top choice. does that also mean that they wont hire new fresh associates next year at this time ? I see on their website they are currently hiring (or at least till very recently) fresh assocaites to start next year in 2020.

I just got an email from them saying they are done interviewing for now. I had mass-mailed them at the end of July and reaffirmed interest yesterday.Anonymous User wrote:Did you mass apply? I think silence might be good in this situation. I had a screener for the NY office during OCI and received a letter ding a couple weeks later.Anonymous User wrote:never heard from them ever since screening interview on OCIAnonymous User wrote:Anyone hear back from Pillsbury, NY office?
