200k would be great.
THE MILBANK SCALE! Just keep repeating it until someone bumps us to 200k!
THE MILBANK SCALE!
So roughly 5500.

+1. O'Melveny and Cadwalader fell like a lead weight. I'd go to DLA Piper before those dumps. 1. Worked for a lawyer who favored torture.
2. Overheard partners fighting over money.
3. Firm tried to threaten him after he wrote the blog. Failed badly.
4. The firm tells associates to lie to vault.
5. The firm threatened a girl raped by Harvey Weinstein.
6. The firm messed up in a child sex abuse matter and works on these disgusting matters. Also works on "It's no secret that O'Melveny works on a certain type of case. The Exxon Valdez oil spill. Enron. Trump University. Drug manufacturers accused of causing terrible injuries or birth defects. Mass torts, toxic torts and catastrophic torts. Healthcare fraud. Sexual assault, sexual harassment and employment discrimination. Workers deprived of overtime pay. Mass foreclosures. Banks defrauding customers, discriminating against customers or nickel-and-diming customers . . . I could go on and on."
7. Judge Reinhardt hated working there.
Biglaw isn't prestige. It's gutter trash. You folks and your $10,000 raise are another example. Don't ever bring up biglaw and prestige again.

Doubt this is true, unless it was at an odd time- I was with a very senior partner for much of the day yesterday who would def be in on that meeting.Anonymous User wrote:Any out there have any knowledge on match vs raise?Anonymous User wrote:Source from a friend says CSM partners met yesterday.
Before the trolls start, not prestige-whoring or anything like that, just doing what I can to filter out the false rumors. Again, if the meeting was very early in the morning, or fairly late, it’s still possible, just trying to provide some color on this.

The quieter the better as far as I'm concerned. The longer CSW/STB/KE wait to match the worse matching looks, so no news is good news. The fact that no one else is taking the bait at 190 implies most of the industry also expects a comp setter to make a bigger move.toast and bananas wrote:We're losing steam fellas. There really might be nothing worse than “breaking news” TLS threads when they devolve into prestige whoring.
Let’s just accept our new overlords the MillionairesBank Scale and that the CravaTTTh scale is no more

Haha okay, did what I could to present the info I had in the most reasonable way possible. Y’all need to stop being so insecure or care who works where or who went to what school, and work on pushing the market to 215K.Anonymous User wrote:There really might be nothing worse than “breaking news” TLS threads when they devolve into prestige whoring.

Conversation with a V10 senior partner that says they are waiting for someone to go to 200k before they announce a match.

I love how all of you have such casual conversations about compensation with senior partners.
I talk about everything with a partner I’m close with (on the exec committee that decides this), but I would never bring up my own compensation.
No shame. Wish I had balls like that
