Thanks. Was your panel Crim people or a mix of attorneys from crim and civil sections?Anonymous User wrote:I'm not a veteran. Edit: Sorry for all the questions. Waiting is just difficult. I asked who was on your panel, because the thought occurred to me that the civil and crim sections might handle things somewhat differently and focus on different candidates considering how the work differs so much. If you had a panel of all crim, people it'd confirm that somewhat.

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2014-15
Going to post this and then step away from the spreadsheets and avue for a while. For the ATR(DC) people, I got to wondering about how unlikely it would be that we have 3 or 4 non-offer finalists to two offers if the full 11 offers had been given out. So I had some fun with excel and came up with some probabilities.
I have no way of knowing how many alternates might have been selected, so the probabilities vary based on that number. I started with a minimum of 4 alternates. There can't be less than 3 or 4 based on the finalists we know are still waiting on offers.
For four confirmed non-offered Finalists and two confirmed offers
(Actual # of Alts - Probability all offers have gone out)
4 - 1%
5 - 3.4%
6 - 6.6%
7 - 10.3%
8 - 14.2%
For just three confirmed non-offered Finalists and two confirmed offers
(Actual # of Alts - Probability of all offers)
4 - 7%
5 - 12.5%
6 - 17.7%
7 - 22.4%
8 - 26.4%
This assumes an offered candidate is equally as likely to have identified themselves on TLS as a non-offered finalist. If non-offered finalists came on here after the finalist notifications because they're worried and those who got offers just popped some corks, then this might not be true. It seems like everyone was on here before it was announced, so it's probably a safe assumption.
Anyway, the point is that based on what we know it's highly unlikely they've given out all 11 offers.
How's that for reading tea leaves? Good luck everyone.

Deana Willis said finalists were ID'd and emails sent out at 9:51amEST. If you are a finalist, do you mind telling me your stats? Also interviewed with ENRD, but did not receive a finalist notice.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone receive and/or hear of offers going out for ENRD?

Asking about offers, not change in status to finalist. ENRD finalists have been notified, wondering if any offers have gone out.

Dear OCIJ person who had references checked today (11/19):
Were all of your references checked? How did OCIJ contact them (phone, e-mail, etc.)?

No worries! I am happy to answer non-stat related questions. I had one civil and two crim on my panel. The call came from one of the crim panelists since I will be in that panelist's section.Anonymous User wrote:Thanks. Thanks! That makes sense and does make me think Crim maybe was doing their own thing. My three panelists were from three different civil sections, all different from the ones I worked in.Anonymous User wrote:
