Everyone should remember to just do you. Don't get too plugged into the OCI stress. Drink beer and have fun. There is literally nothing you can do post CB to affect the process in any way, so there is no value in stressing out about it. You will have bad interviews. You will miss firms you wanted. Just roll with it.

Initials can be useful since CBs usually go out in batches based on the interviewer rather than from the firm as a whole.

Interesting... I thought they'd go back and report their results and then some sort of a hiring committee would quickly decide based on all of the results instead of just half of them. Otherwise, it seems like it might really suck if the person you interviewed with is also interviewing all the Law Review and K&E Scholar people whereas the other interviewer is meeting with a bunch of people with lower grades.

Yea, I don't know how that works. Maybe it's a committee, but even then if the interviewer is the one who lets you know, they might do that at different times because they have different schedules.

It's correct to a certain extent that that a lot of firms will go back to the hiring committee and then the firm will give CBs at one time. However, the guy you interviewed with is still the one giving them, so you getting a CB depends on when he decides to call everyone on his list.

If I remember correctly, Debevoise had 3 partners interviewing last year, and the CBs definitely went out at non-trivially different times during the day (one batch might have come 12 hours after the others?).
