While I lol'd at the gradual escalation in formality from lowercase --> uppercase --> full name, I suspect that posting essentially the same question three times in a row will not expedite CBs and that at least someone will report a cb as soon as it comes inAnonymous User today @ 4:14 wrote:Has anyone heard from Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy or from Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft?

My reply was far snider than this but then I'm remembered that it is a stressful time for everyone so I laid off.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User today @ 1:50pm wrote:anyone hear from milbank/cadw?Anonymous User today @ 3:59pm wrote:Any news of callbacks from the NYC offices of Katten Muchin, Milbank, or Cadwalader? While I lol'd at the gradual escalation in formality from lowercase --> uppercase --> full name, I suspect that posting essentially the same question three times in a row will not expedite CBs and that at least someone will report a cb as soon as it comes inAnonymous User today @ 4:14 wrote:Has anyone heard from Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy or from Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft?

Anyone have a thought if S&C, Cleary, and Debevoise (all NY) are done with CB's? Thanks in advance.

Didn't get an S&C NY callback, but the interviewer made it sound *very* clear that all CB offers would be out within 24-48 hours. So I think ding.

Holds are a thing, particularly if others have been dinged for the office in question. But yes I wouldn't hold your breath.Anonymous User wrote:i think its safe to assume that most nyc firms are done with cbs.. except the ones that interviewed on friday

I'm sure this is somewhere on the OCS website and I'm just bad at looking, but is there any indication of what a "normal" number of callbacks is if you bid NY?

I've heard the average number is around 6-9? Not sure how accurate this is though, so take it with a huge grain of salt.Anonymous User wrote:I'm sure this is somewhere on the OCS website and I'm just bad at looking, but is there any indication of what a "normal" number of callbacks is if you bid NY?
Most of my friends who bid NY have around that number though, so there might be so there might be some truth to it.
FYI, other markets from talking to my friends are sitting around 2-4 presently.

I'm sure its not anywhere on the OCS website because it just varies so much on a half dozen things.Anonymous User wrote:I've heard the average number is around 6-9? I know quite a few non-NYC people who, as of Friday at least, weren't thrilled with what they had.

I did NY and I'm at 8 right now, but that includes a couple of my Friday firms so it may be the end for me. I think most of my NY friends are hovering around 5 or 6 but haven't heard back from Friday interviews.Anonymous User wrote:I've heard the average number is around 6-9? Also, in case the context helps, my grades are below average (assuming average is about 3 Hs total) but my work experience is relatively strong and relevant for BigLaw.
