Covington DC specifically told me that callbacks take a while, that they call references, and that I wouldn't be hearing from them quickly.

I thought they did reference calls after the callback?

I don't have any idea, but I would think that if they were going to call references only after CBs, they wouldn't make you give them over until the CB itself.

Yeah, I'm almost positive they call references before the CB.

I interviewed covington NY on Friday and heard back Monday (different interviewer). But I doubt they got in touch with all three of my references.

i wonder if this will work:

Turn Gmail spam off:
Open your browser and visit Gmail.com. Input your Gmail email address and account password into the appropriate fields and click "Sign In."
Click the "Create a filter" link to the right of the "Search the Web" button at the top of the page. A yellow "Create a Filter" section will appear at the top of the page.
Input "is:spam" into the "Has the words" section and click "Next Step." A warning dialog box will appear.
Click "OK" in the warning dialog box and then place a check-mark next to "Never send it to Spam." Click "Create Filter." All emails you receive, regardless of spam or not, will now appear in the "Inbox" folder.

Ditto. Would love to go on a CB with them. Thinking about sending an email tomorrow to my remaining SF firms just saying "Hey I'm coming to town on X dates if you want to CB me."

Ask OCS, they know how to do that stuff and will be very helpful.

Agreed. Ask OCS how to phrase it, but I'd say definitely send the email. It simultaneously shows you're pursued by other firms, you're still very interested in that particular firm, and that they'll get to save some expenses in calling you back. Besides, what have you to lose? G'luck!

don't worry, some people had cbs this week already and some firms move really fast. today is still very early. go do awesome on it!
