Jones Day? They said the same to me. I just mailed them recently, once I knew I missed out on an interview slot (lottery), but maybe they said that to everyone.
Edit: Whoops, Jones Day isn't "V15". Don't know the Vault rankings THAT well. Well, they said the same thing to me as whoever this other firm is said to you.

Anonymous User wrote:Went for callback (never had a screener) with a large NJ firm, and was made an offer about 4 hours later even though the HR person told me they would follow up with me in 2 weeks to let me know their decision. So psyched that I can go into OCI with an offer already in hand. I really liked the firm and the people during my visit today and could certainly see myself working there. CCN transfer btw.
Congrats!

This would be a lot more helpful if you supplied us with a firm name or a region and stats/school.
You are right. CCN transfer. Mostly applying to NJ/PA (significant ties to the area) firms via mass mails since the NYC firms are coming to campus. The firm is Sills, Cummis & Gross, which is one of the larger NJ firms. Had interview with Day Pitney today, Porzio Bromberg callback tomorrow, and callback with Lowenstein Sandler Wednesday. I'm sure most NJ natives will be familiar with these firms
How did your interview with Porzio go and have you heard anything back yet?

I felt like it went well. The people I met with really seemed to like it there, and I got a good vibe. I guess I will know pretty soon what they thought.

Above top 10% T10 + LR, mass mailed about 20 firms in LA (weak-decent ties, depending on if I can sell them). Got a screener with sheppard mullin, quinn emanuel, jeffer mangels. Ding from loeb & loeb. Waiting on the rest. Anyone know how long it takes to hear back from Munger after a screener (this was through my school lottery, not mass mail)? They were the only firm to ask for references, and I'm wondering if they'll take time to call them..
edit: cb from Quinn and Sheppard, heard within 2 days of screener.

I go to a midwest T25 but have some Boston ties- got an interview request from Goodwin Procter's Boston office today- does anyone know if this is a screener or a CB? Difference would be paying for my trip to Boston so this would be helpful.

If you had to pay your own way to interview there I don't think it would be a call-back style interview. It's hard to say though without knowing more. How many attorneys are you interviewing with? For how long?

Offer from Cahill following my interview. Top 5% MVP plus LR. Also got a snail mail rejection from Freshfields. Apparently they're quite selective.

At least now I know I was rejected by Cahill- I kind of figured if an offer was coming, it would be quickly. I'll be looking for the snail mail rejection today.

I haven't set it up yet, but the way the email read it sounded like a screener- I didn't want to ask about reimbursement if it was supposed to only be a screener.
