Nutter (Boston) - CB offer via email.
Desmarais (NY) - CB offer via phone.
Covington (SV, DC) - Email from interviewer said to expect CB offers next week.

CBs from Baker Botts and K&E so far, both NY. Silence from the others, though I guess I can probably label Covington and PW as no-goes.

Is it fair to say that when they reply to your thank you email saying they are reviewing candidates and attending to follow up interviews, and tell you to enjoy the rest of summer, you've been dinged? If so, I've never had a gentler rejection. Lol.

When did you get the K+E NY callback?

Also, do firms typically do all CB phone calls at the same time, or spread them out?

Doesn't really sound like a rejection letter to me.

Figures. Also, Wilmer DC email ding. Getting a CB or two numbs the sting though. I was expecting rolling waves of fail for the next few weeks.

My fail is now well underway as well, since I'm up to 1 certain ding and at least 3 presumptive ones. I could live with a 33% success rate... Too bad it's gonna be closer to 10% when all is said and done

My failure rate is 100%. 12 interviews, 1 official ding, and 11 presumptive/"certain" dings.

How do you have so many "presumptive" dings already.

Tcq. If it's just that you dont feel much hope, don't count yourself out unless you're atrocious at interviewing. If it's because all of those places have already given out callbacks, a) holy crap that was quick and b) sorry dude.

There is a thread of that. Also with 12 interviews, you gotta be pretty desirable. Unless you have autism.

That was amazingly quick. I suppose it makes sense to do it ASAP, before impressions from the interviews evaporate -- at least for firms that place a premium on fit.

In any case, this highlights the importance of prompt "thank you" letters after an interview. I have no idea if they ever make a difference (our career office bizarrely claims that we don't need to send any after OCI-like screening interviews?!), but if they do, the sooner they are sent the better.

Finnegan doesn't organize by litigation v. prosecution, the practice groups are Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, and Bio.

And I am guessing Paul sent out all the call backs at once (or at least a good portion of them). He might wait on sending out dings until he knows a certain number have confirmed they are coming in for a second interview though, so if you haven't heard anything I wouldn't start panicking just yet.
