In the grand scheme of things, $230 is just not a lot of money to pay for a pair of nice shoes. In fact, that's a pretty good deal.

In any event, I wasn't talking about him. I was talking about the advice that regular posters in this thread give, not the advice a seeming first-time poster was giving while questioning the advice ITT.

Anyway, before anyone posts in this thread, especially you RodneyRuxin, they should have to click "I understand" to the following disclaimer:

It will not hurt you at OCI to wear this $130 shoe. Still, this $230 shoe is probably worth the money. But do not post in this thread to state that you don't need to wear Allen Edmonds to get a job. No one thinks that.

Ok I have another question re: bizcas.

At my jerb before LS I basically wore nice slacks, nice loafers, and a dressy looking (non loud color) golf polo to work... tucked in with a belt.

Is this look ok for a bizcas networking reception at a job fair (stating bizcas attire)?

Or do they prefer a more formal looking bizcas i.e sport coat, button down, slacks.

ETA: I dunno why I am worrying about this

Wear the button down, but sport coat is probs unnecessary.

Is a navy three button suit with pleated pants alright for OCI? It's a nice Hugo Boss suit and I know the flat front pants with a two button jacket is a more modern look but this suit still looks great so I'm not in a rush to go buy a new one.

you've gotta be pretty tall to pull off a 3 button suit well.

Wear the button down, but sport coat is probs unnecessary.

Definitely a button down rather than a polo. Long sleeves are a must too, in case that needs to be stated

A jacket/sports coat looks sharp but isn't necessary if you don't have a good one.
