Skadden NY has given out offers. The range at my school has been 2-3 business days after CB.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 10:52 amAnyone have a sense of offer timeline for Skadden NY? Recruiter told me a couple weeks but it was pretty vague, wondering what actual practice is if anyone has an offer yet

Re: Pre-OCI 2021
I know this question can't possibly have a great answer, but does anyone have an opinion (hopefully informed) as to how good the offer rate is at this stage for NY firms? Maybe on a scale of "absolute lock" to "would be surprised to get an offer". I've heard its really up to you to not blow the interview

Re: Pre-OCI 2021
Very much not a lock. Chances may be slightly better than regular OCI but not sure that holds water. Clearly if you get a CB this early they’re serious about you but it’s just as competitive as regular OCI in my experienceAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:11 amI know this question can't possibly have a great answer, but does anyone have an opinion (hopefully informed) as to how good the offer rate is at this stage for NY firms? First I'm hearing of Deb DC movement. Was this post-screener or post-callback?

Any recent movement at STB? I had a callback a week ago today and radio silence... Preparing for the worst. Kinda surprised, to be honest: I thought it went really well.

Re: Pre-OCI 2021
It depends on your school, as well. If you're at a school the firm normally does OCI with, then I think you have pretty good chances because they have sought you out knowing that they would probably still see you at OCI if you didn't. But if you're at a school they don't normally do OCI with, then it can still be an uphill battle. I did pre-OCI interviews with a couple of firms that hadn't hired from my school in years and very much got the sense that they would only reach out and give me an offer if they weren't able to fill the slots they needed from OCIs.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:20 amVery much not a lock. In the same position and have no idea what it would mean to feel like one of these went great. Have had 4, got rejected from the one that was objectively the worst, but they all have just felt like a slog. How anyone can put on a smile and be polished for two hours straight with four people they've never seen over a faulty video-chat platform is absolutely beyond me.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 1:32 pmIn the same position, but I felt like mine didn’t go that great.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:36 amAny recent movement at STB? Should I bid a firm that I have already screened with Pre OCI? or is that a wasted bid?

Re: Pre-OCI 2021
how do you think this would play if I transferred from a school they don't OCI at to a school they recruit very very heavily from in the middle of the interviewing processAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 12:10 pmIt depends on your school, as well.
