I think the firms that do will specify in the "additional information" section of your scheduled interview. Covington, for example, specifies references.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know if we need a list of references for firms?
Btw does anyone know if Covington NY is super-selective?

Is there any way to pull out of interviews at this point? I only have a couple on the last day (Tuesday) and they're not really firms I'm that interested in. Would rather leave that day open for callbacks from Thursday/Friday firms

Do firms host events (receptions/dinners/etc.) during the middle weekend of EIP or can I safely make other plans?

No- the drop period has ended and we have to keep all the interviews we have scheduled.Anonymous User wrote:Is there any way to pull out of interviews at this point? Is it just me, or are the printed out transcripts small and hard to read? Any way to fix that?

Are we going to have academic awards/prizes in time for EIP?

Anyone know if it's better to do a CB with a firm on the day they have their superday or is it better to to schedule the CB on another day? Is it harder to stand out when you're interviewing at the same time as 20+ people?

This seems increasingly unlikely. I also already printed my resumes on nice paper, so if they come out tomorrow, oh wellAnonymous User wrote:Are we going to have academic awards/prizes in time for EIP?

Re: Columbia EIP 2016
Like another anon said above, it would definitely say if you need to bring references under the additional info. FWIW none of my 30 screeners asked for references. I do remember that for my CB at MoFo the link they sent me about their CB process said to bring a list of references, but on the day of the CB nobody asked for them so I didn't give them to anyone. Got an offer so I guess at least that particular office of MoFo actually didn't care about them.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know if we need a list of references for firms?

I was told two years ago that OCS advises you not to, but that most people did and it was fine.Anonymous User wrote:what's the etiquette on expensing the cost of a taxi to/from an interview in NYC?
That said, I personally never tried it, but I'm pretty risk-averse.

Anonymous confession: I'm basically doing most of my prep work yesterday and today because of some top-notch procrastinating.

Same story here. Wouldn't (and didn't) do it but doubt anyone will care.MCFC wrote:I was told two years ago that OCS advises you not to, but that most people did and it was fine.Anonymous User wrote:what's the etiquette on expensing the cost of a taxi to/from an interview in NYC?

Re: Columbia EIP 2016
My 2L SA I legitimately expensed a very expensive dinner where it was me and a couple 1Ls. At some point we talked about my firm, so I submitted the receipt on a whim and I got reimbursed for the maximum dinner budget for 3. The recruiting office called me after I submitted the receipt, at which point I was confident my ass was grass, but they just wanted the contact info for the 1Ls so they could bring them in for interviews.Monochromatic Oeuvre wrote:
