Bronx ding (2L) from T30 school. A bit disenchanted with them after the whole experience. Still waiting on CO, Philly and Hennepin.

Bronx (3L) ding. And they couldn't even get the position I was applying for right. So then they felt it necessary to send a correction email. Thanks, guys.

Same - this is getting really disheartening. I've been getting a bunch of rejections (NH, Miami, and Bronx; Philly also rejected me from a non-EJW interview back in August). I am waiting for two offices, and I hope that they invite me to a second interview; there's just a lot of pressure.

Ding from the Bronx (2L). Go to a T20 school, worked at PD office last summer, and felt the interview went great. Its competitive out there. Have not heard from Hennepin, Colorado, Philly, or Mecklenburg yet.

Good luck everyone

Man, these offices really don't understand the value of offering early. We're like teenagers here, all you have to do is want us and we'll want you back.

Agreed. Every office I applied to I would probably accept instantly if they gave me an offer.

Part of this has to do with budgets though. Non-profits and government agencies have pretty tight budgets. It isn't until towards the end of the year that they have any idea if they have the money to pay x number of new hires this year and the next.

At my PDs office my boss was told she could hire 5 in the budget. Only two weeks after hiring did it go to 6, and a week after that, 10. Part of the raise to 6 was someone quitting, but the next four (of which I was one) were a "oh, we looked at the budget and found some extra money when you asked about #6."
