The trend I've been noticing (or perhaps just conjuring in my own head) is traditional biglaw moving towards first-half, so the sought after split summers more typically have become big-law / elite boutique (which is admittedly not as helpful for the transaction-oriented).Anonymous User wrote: Also, almost all my offers are for first-half only or whole summer, which complicates things considerably. (I guess TX is slowly moving to join the 49 other states and eliminating split summers.)

My understanding is there should be movement from Porter Hedges and Gardere (Houston) this week. Anyone hear anything today?

Anyone heard of any late/second round callbacks anywhere, or know if any firms do these? I'm written off all of my screeners, but still have quite a few firms I haven't received dings from and I'm wondering if there is any shot at all if these firms poorly estimate their yields.

I got one of these last year, but it was not the result of a screener. Rather I kept in touch with the CSO and made sure they were aware of where I stood. They emailed me when a firm had not yet filled their slots (and with whom I'd missed one of their few screeners during OCI) and wanted 3-4 and I got a screener and CB from that.
