Not necessarily. From what I see, if they like you, you will move quick. BUT, from what it seems like, BX has given offers.

As frustrating as it is, be patient and keep calling to get your name out there. Try and meet people that work in the office. Do whatever you can so that you are not forgotten. I've heard of people getting offers in June, so until you get a letter saying you have been rejected, keep hope.

Question
Has anyone ever asked an office to extend the offer past the initial deadline that was given?
Ex) They say deadline is Dec 8th and you ask for an additional week.

I have finals and then honeymoon right after for a week. Would NYC area offices be cool with scheduling interviews taking these into consideration?

I think they would, but you are putting yourself in a bad position because several offers would have been given out by then. Also, I would not tell them the reasons why. Just ask that it be scheduled at a certain time. The office will not ask why.

Can someone expand on this? Should current applicants in the post 2nd round stage be networking with ADAs within the office??? First I've heard of this atleast for the NYC areaAnonymous User wrote:As frustrating as it is, be patient and keep calling to get your name out there. Try and meet people that work in the office. Does anyone know what is going on with the Queens DA? I had my first round interview 2 and a half months ago and have not heard back. Also have not been able to get a hold of anyone to ask the status of my app.

Actually, I'm also wondering, but more along the lines of whether anyone's had a 3rd round with them. And also how long it typically takes between that and when you find out whether you're getting an offer.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know what is going on with the Queens DA? If its any consolation, it's probably not something about you thats taking them so long. I've yet to have a first round, been checking with them constantly and yet to hear back, and have 1 offer from another office and final rounds with 2 NYC offices.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know what is going on with the Queens DA? This is how rumors get started and people freak out too early. Bronx isn't giving out offers yet. Whoever started that is trying to insight panic for some reason. Good luck with the bronx and keep your head up! It is still very early!Anonymous User wrote:Really? Any idea how many so far?Anonymous User wrote:BX DA is giving offers for the September class.

transcript - unlikely. only time course/grades were brought up was remarking on how many crim-related classes i tookAnonymous User wrote:will second rounds ask about transcript or work experience?
work experience - definitely. even in the hypo-heavy offices, your still facing a panel. odds are that one of the 3 interviewers will see something on resume and have a question. be ready to discuss anything on there intelligently and under rapid-fire questioning

So can anyone confirm that the BX has or has not given out any offers? I doubt someone would lie just to insight panic.

BX has not made offers, and even if they did, it is very very early in the process. Anyone still interviewing do not discourage.
Anyone heard from Queens after 2nd round? I heard their office moves slow but my interview was 2 weeks ago.

No offers yet. I would hope people had matured past scare tactics by this point in their legal education, but apparently not. I have to agree with the above poster.Anonymous User wrote:So can anyone confirm that the BX has or has not given out any offers? I doubt someone would lie just to insight panic.

Yes, I have. My 2nd round at Queens was about a month(ish?) after my 1st round at OCI.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone heard from Queens after 2nd round? I heard their office moves slow but my interview was 2 weeks ago.
Also, thanks for the people clearing up the Bx mess. I'm one of those who did a 3rd round and started to panic because I couldn't figure out what went wrong in so short amount of time (they tell you it's 5 minutes and it really is just that).

Re: District Attorney's Offices 2015
I'm in the process of scheduling an interview with one of the offices. I could interview next week, but that would be right in the middle of exams. The other option would be to interview after winter break, about 6-7 weeks from now. This might be an obvious question, but is it a no-brainer to schedule the interview for next week?
