Waiting on MoFo NY, STB, DPW... all places that seemingly have given out lots of both CBs and rejections.
Perhaps my mailman has just decided to take the week off.

Re: NYU EIW Callback Nonsense (Consolidated)
It's really so weird how this process works out so differently for other people. I've had great success, about 10 CBs at a ton of great firms in NY (5 V10s out of 6 so far!) and a few very respectable firms in other cities, but I've also gotten around an equal number of dings and am waiting on very few places. Very weird to hear of people getting tons of CBs but no dings or still waiting on most of their firms...
Seems like the last couple days have really been good for NYUers though. Anecdotally, lots of friends who were dry the first couple days seem to have finally struck some gold the past couple days.

Yeah, its very odd how some people make a killing at the top firms and others can't make a dent. This seemed to be especially true amongst us transfers, which is odd since pretty much every single transfer is coming in with near top-of-the-class grades, and most are from very strong schools to begin with. I haven't heard a peep from a single "top" firm I interviewed with, while I know of a few transfers who were having consistent success with them. I honestly thought that I had a chance with some of these firms.Anonymous User wrote:It's really so weird how this process works out so differently for other people. To the people who had a blocked number call around 7:30pm, I had one just before 7:30 from Cleary partner DB for a CB. Hope this is helpful, and whatever firm it was, that it was good news.

4 CBs. 1 V10. 2 V20. 1 V50. (Interviewed with 17 firms last week, 6 Monday. Haven't heard a peep this week.)
I'm feeling thankful, but somewhat disappointed too. Like the person who posted above I think my practice interviewer was off-base. Mine said something like, “wow, repeat that and you’re going to have a ton of callbacks.” Well, not so much. I should have varied styles a bit. Prepared better answers in advance. Maybe my research was mediocre? I rarely had highly tailored questions. I also probably bid too selectively. On the other hand, my CBs are with relatively selective firms.
Here’s to hoping the screener interviewers’ judgments are predictive of their firms overall judgments.

Proskauer Boston CB this morning. Got it by email, but I somehow forgot to put my phone number on my resume so that may not be the default method.

Sorry for the novice question, but is it safe to assume that if you've heard nothing in 48 hours, it's a ding? I have had two dings (White and Case, Chadbourne) both via e-mail (Chadbourne came just this morning). I just want to know if I should stop holding out hope for some of these places, or if ... I don't know . They keep you on a reserve list or something.

Re: NYU EIW Callback Nonsense (Consolidated)
I'm at 12 CBs. No dings. So many firms that have sent out dings/callbacks just haven't contacted me.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
