hey everybody, so I got into to SEO today(NYC). For those yet to hear back , they will finalize all spots by May 6th(visits to NYU/DC and final firm confirmation over Monday and Tuesday).

Congrats! But...what does this mean exactly? Specifically "visits"? Who is visiting whom and why?

Last year a wave of dings went out on a Saturday. However, I don't remember seeing anyone get dinged the Friday before. There were a few reported dings yesterday so we may be safe until Monday.

With that said, they did follow ups last weekend so it's possible that they will send out decisions today and tomorrow.

Look on the bright side, we're a day closer to a decision one way or the other. I've come to peace with the possibility of getting dinged, it's disappointing to think about though.

So DC firm placements went out today. I'm guessing this means:

A) The DC market has been filled up.
B) Hopefully the other markets aren't filled up yet.
C) All markets have been filled up and they're just working on firm placement now.

A and B seem likely at the moment.

More bad news for us waiters. Seems like they are making phone calls to those who got NYC markets informing them of what firm they are being placed at.

It really is quite depressing at this point. A friend called to see what was up, and they told him they weren't done closing the class yet. However, that could just be a lie, kinda like when Stanford said there was a possibility of still getting an acceptance post ASW.
