Really? If anything, it seems like firms are extending offers very quickly and looking to fill classes in a much accelerated timeline...
Not OP, but you supported their point. Quick offers probably means that most of the screening happened before callbacks, which means callbacks were offered conservatively.
Yeah, I've heard from three firms from which I got offers now that they're being very cautious this year, especially at first round.

Same thing happening at Cornell. Lot of people underwhelmed by the amount of CBs sent out.

I saw that someone had a DPW offer earlier this week from a Tuesday cb, but I just got an offer today after a cb last friday.
