I am thinking BB is slow to ding. I screened with them on 08/08, just got my ding yesterday.

Radio silence...Did BB ever extend new offers since one wave of offers weeks ago?

I've mass mailed the heck out of TX (40+) and have heard back from like 3 places (dings). What gives?

Its hard coming from outside a Texas school. I massmailed every Houston, Dallas, and Austin firm and ended up with one interview and offer, but radio silence everywhere else.

This means those of us waiting to hear from CBs are done, right?

I would assume so. I don't want to get too specific, but it's extremely frustrating that they've taken so long to get back to us.

Is anyone on the verge of striking out and genuinely surprised (bc of grades or other factors)?

Striking out in TX despite decent results elsewhere.

I nearly struck out despite top 15% and L Rev. Maximum allowed screeners at OCI, 5 CBs, 1 offer. My results frankly look like my GPA is .33 worse than it is. Clearly I was doing something wrong in interviews across the board.

About 10 of my screeners were with Dallas or non-TX offices, but all of my CBs were in Houston. Hometown advantage, I guess.

Quite a few borderline Big Law students here have offers (even multiple offers) in NY while striking out in Texas.

The NYC Job Fair is the best kept "secret" for UT students.

I would agree, but surprisingly I didn't have much success despite great credentials (top grades and LR). 15 screeners and only 1 CB (from V5 ha)

In addition to the job fair, I've actually had a lot of success with MM in NY

Sounds like SullCrom.

There were people in my year with top credentials who didn't land anything in NYC, but at the same time there are plenty who got NYC and nothing else. If I had to tell the 1Ls at UT one single piece of advice, it would be to do the NYC job fair. If nothing else it'll prepare you for OCI and refine your interview skills.

i got close. top 10%, law review, work experience. almost maxed out screeners, handful of callbacks, 2 offers, only one in BL. obvs i was an awful interview but i dont really know how. never had this problem before so now i'm worried about it
