Any ATR(DC) folks who were designated Finalists get calls this morning?

Just FYI - when you accept an offer, your status on Avue will eventually be changed from "Finalist" to "Offer Accepted."

I was changed to finalist as part of the last group yesterday and have NOT received a call this morning. I think we may be alternates, but no way to know for sure.Anonymous User wrote:Any ATR(DC) folks who were designated Finalists get calls this morning?
Have you heard of anyone outside of those posting on TLS receiving offers? I believe we just have two offers and one acceptance (Crim II) documented on here.
Edit: Assuming we're in the same boat, I'll be sure to post as soon as I hear if they call. Also, if we are alternates, it's good there's still a lot of component outstanding, increases the chance someone may turn down ATR.

Yeah, same boat. I was changed after the final update on ATR yesterday. I haven't heard of anyone else getting offers, but I am also clerking now, so I am not surrounded by people applying and thus am less tuned into what is happening. I'll likewise post if I hear anything either way. Just want this to be over today, ugh. My productivity at work has plummeted this week.Anonymous User wrote:I was changed to finalist as part of the last group yesterday and have NOT received a call this morning. Yeah, I hear you. Not getting anything done here either. How confident were you with your chances? Did you expect an offer? Even knowing how competitive it is and being a bit of a pessimist by nature, I'm surprised I haven't heard. Keep trying to figure out a scenario where they didn't give out all the first round offers yesterday. Looking at the timeline, though, it looks like they initially reported their first round offers to Deana Willis. A couple of those were turned down immediately--one by our TLS friend, Cat--so they added two more finalists/offers. The last group was probably the remaining alternates.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2014-15
I was pretty confident, and most people I talked to at the Division (I was a SLIP there in the past) were positive about my chances as well. This job is pretty much my ideal position, so the anxiety has been building these last few weeks. I'm guessing if they haven't already filled their positions, some people did not immediately respond to the offer...which means we could be waiting awhile.Anonymous User wrote:

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2014-15
Thanks, that actually helps a bit. It was definitely my dream position as well, and I likewise had very positive indications from people at the DOJ. Best interview I've ever had too. 3L, not from a clerkship but my resume and courses were built for this. Great stats for whatever that's worth. I guess it could have just been a very competitive Honors cycle.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:

Anyway, I think there's definitely still reason to be hopeful. Lot of CIV and USAO positions, among others, still out; definitely a chance some are waiting for other offers. And then maybe a couple sections are just slow in getting their offers out or there's some hold up in assigning sections that didn't affect the first offers.

I couldn't figure out how to delete a post (because I +1 to the wrong one. Given that I am short on patience and my attention span I just did what the computer wanted me to do, which was put something in the space.

New person here - for what it's worth I was in the first group of ATR (DC) finalists notified yesterday, but no call. I'm optimistic for all of us - hopefully they just haven't made all initial offers yet.

Deana Willis just posted a message saying "Antitrust issued finalist notification email messages to its HP and SLIP finalists."
Not sure what that means. My status changed to finalist yesterday, but I did not get a call, nor did I get an email today.

ATR-DC Finalist here. I have also not received an email. I read it to mean they just sent email notices to the Finalists that have been selected already. Not sure why we didn't get them? Also, that tells me that there haven't been many offers. Why would you make a point to announce finalist emails after most people have received offers?Anonymous User wrote:Deana Willis just posted a message saying "Antitrust issued finalist notification email messages to its HP and SLIP finalists."

I sent Deanna Willis a message on avue that my status showed finalist but I had not received an email. Maybe an error. Would be nice if the notice had an update on the present situation with offers.Anonymous User wrote:Deana Willis just posted a message saying "Antitrust issued finalist notification email messages to its HP and SLIP finalists."

I did get an email and was in the initial group of ATR (DC) finalists yesterday (same person as above - no call). It says it's a "courtesy update" & just describes what being a finalist means. I don't think we should read anything into who got them - seems like an Avue bug or a mistake that not all went out.Anonymous User wrote:ATR-DC Finalist here. I have also not received an email. EOIR- OCIJ candidate. Status changed to finalist around the same time Deana posted on AVUE. No e-mail, phone call, reference check yet. Survey: I haven't seen OCIJ people post on the spreadsheet, is no one interested? I am.

Oh sorry - it means exactly what we thought before: first-round offer or alternate.Anonymous User wrote:Weird.
