Talking with someone else who missed them it might have to do with how high some of my other bids were that day. They may be what's actually locking out space. i.e i have a latham interview at 6 and my friend bid them at 8, so giving my friend sull crom (which they bid at 16) over me wouldn't work because it would cost me my 6 bid potentially. I win maybe because 2 > 1, in other words.

Idk it seems really complicated and this is rampant speculation.
slighted anon friend here - real reason is above anon is on LR and sulcrom is obviously preselecting. get your pitchforks and torches people....
LR here. Got SC at 24.
okay fuck it i got my pitchfork. occupy ocs!

Just plotted out my schedule. 19 screeners, 11 of which are on the 12th and 13th. Is the OCI schedule just front-loaded in terms of firms or something?

Not mine. 15 screens, no more than 3 on any given day.

I have 4 on the 12th and 5 on the 20th and then the rest are interspersed. Not the luckiest of combinations.

Alum--Yeah, it's a really weird thing. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I remember discussing this whole thing when I received my interviews.

I received interviews that my friends did not, despite bidding firms lower. I heard this through the grapevine that it has something to do with how the system actually works. Something about: At bid #X, you're compared with all those who bid X, and there's some other stuff...I dunno. This probably isn't too helpful, but at least it explains some of this/provides a lead.

I bid them 4. Looks like it must have went out between 4 and 7. It was only 20 spots for NYC/LA/SF/DC/Others so it was gonna be a tight one.

Got 20.

Got my top 14 (all Bay Area multi offices. GD was #2 fwiw.)

Got other random CA offices later, like Mayer Brown, Weil and Skadden. Got Grippo #22 (someone previously said they missed them at 24, so I guess we know where that cut-off is. This is also my only non-CA interview.)

Hey guys, sorry if this is a dumb question.. I forgot which email contained this info. I think I remember saying we can add 2 interviews a day or something along the lines of that. Does anyone have any insight on the details of this adding period? Does this even exist? O_o

Ignore

Same - it was one of my top 20 bids though, so I was really surprised to see it available.

Surprising that no open-signup spots were open.

I logged in right at noon to catch anything open I can get, but nothing is available! Even the firms from Miami, Michigan, Kansas City or Minneapolis which I thought might have a hard time filling up their spots were full.

Is it just me or were you guys able to fetch anything?

i had to log in like 3 times before the open sign ups showed up.....
so not sure if there's literally nothing or it's a technical issue. I had to completely close browsers too before they showed up for me.

I had to do that as well. But now it just says opt in/opt out under everything so I'm assuming that means everything is full?

No idea. I signed up for 1 then went back and couldn't see any of the buttons anymore. Tried logging in and out like 5 times. Must be full then...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
