I don't think anyone has heard from them, either offer/rejection. Seems like they are taking their sweet time.

Is anybody still waiting to hear from their BB, NRF, or LL screeners? Do they usually take a long time to reject people? I'm obviously assuming ding at this point, but I'm wondering when they'll let me know.

Those who have been rejected/accepted by NRF how long did it take?
ETA - for CB not Screener

Got dings from BB and NRF after screener. Still nothing from LL after over a month. Probably a ding since they have their mass call back days.Anonymous User wrote:Is anybody still waiting to hear from their BB, NRF, or LL screeners? Do they usually take a long time to reject people? Also, anyone hear nothing from V&E post screener? Heard nothing from them either and assuming ding.

I was dinged a week after my screener, so it's possible that you're on a wait list or something.Anonymous User wrote:Got dings from BB and NRF after screener. Re: 2013 Texas OCI (+all Texas firms)
Hmm, interesting. I tried emailing the recruiter I met at the screener and still havent heard anything. I only care because I have an offer with a peer firm that I really want to take, but I'd like closure from V&E first. I dont really care if they ding me, I'd just like to know. Same from LL, nothing from them in over a month either.Anonymous User wrote:I was dinged a week after my screener, so it's possible that you're on a wait list or something.Anonymous User wrote:Got dings from BB and NRF after screener. As for the timeline, don't sweat it. It's not over until the fat lady dings.

Yes. Still waiting (NRF). As I understand (and am hoping it's true for NRF) a number of larger Texas firms will CB only those they're expecting to offer, and then if they don't have full yield they may CB others.Anonymous User wrote:Is anybody still waiting to hear from their BB, NRF, or LL screeners? Just got BB ding on Wednesday (screener, no CB).

Snail mail. I was told I'd hear within a week, so when I didn't get a call by the 7th day, I kinda figured I was done. Still disappointing though because I thought I had a great round of interviews and really connected with some of the attorneys.Anonymous User wrote:Sorry. Prob same boat here. Re: 2013 Texas OCI (+all Texas firms)
I am down to V&E Houston or Haynes & Boone Dallas.
I dont have family in either city. I liked Dallas as a city more (it is just "nicer") and I liked the people at both places pretty equally. Is it crazy to take a place like HayBoo over V&E just because of a very slight preference toward Dallas? I feel like Houston is doing such "bigger" work right now, and V&E is a top all the league tables at the moment.
Currently, I am leaning toward V&E

It's not crazy to want to work where you'd prefer to live. That said, don't write Houston off too fast. Much of what makes Houston great is a little below the surface and takes some time to discover. As I once heard it described, it's a great place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there.Anonymous User wrote:I am down to V&E Houston or Haynes & Boone Dallas.
