It's getting pretty hard for me to tell when people are trolling on the topic of transfer students. This comment, for instance, I assume is troll bait because a) I like to think that all CLS students are smart enough to realize that actually fighting your way to the top of the class at a lower law school > LSAT and undergrad GPA, and b) no one would seriously suggest talking to the administration, because they are incompetent across the board.

If any CLS transfers are reading this, please know that we are happy to have you. You obviously performed amazingly at your previous school, and I for one look forward to meeting you. Chalk up any stupid anti-transfer posts on this thread to the stress of EIP, and realize that we are all brothers-in-arms since surviving the hell that is the Doubletree Hotel elevator system.

As already mentioned in this thread, it is annoying that core 2L classes are so hard to get, but this has far more to do with the dearth of professors teaching these classes than it does with another ~50 transfers. When people are #240 on the waitlist for evidence, then it is absurd to think having fewer transfers would make any substantive difference.

Everyone who is doing callbacks this week, good luck! Everyone who is waiting for callbacks, keep the hope alive!
I can tell who authored this post just based on the caring and supportive language.
I'm the one who posted the above. If you could guess who I am just based on that post, I would be seriously impressed.

Strongly agree with the above. Transfers deserve their spots here and will contribute significantly to our class. Unfortunately, I've heard from 3Ls that transfers their year were not very well integrated into their class. Let's not make that mistake ourselves.

Hmm.. if I had mine on Thurs. and radio silence since then, is it safe to assume I'm dinged?

I don't really get the point of this question. What are you going to do differently? Anyway DPW gives an unusually high number of CBs and unusually low proprtion of offers to people who are called back. Best to just focus on what is coming up and if DPW comes through, it comes through. However you aren't out until you get the ding.

I actually don't understand the point of this comment. I already understood DPW offer:callback ratio was low. I finished all my CBs already. I understand there is nothing I can do at this point, but it would be tremendously de-stressing to understand that I'm dinged so I can move on. The point was to get other people's opinion about the possibility, not your tangential remark.

Did anyone get a sense of when we should hear results of K&E's Thursday callbacks?

Seriously? Stats aren't going to affect the pace of your offer

Hey, can we lift the tone of this thread? Clearly someone else's stats aren't going to "affect" the pace of another's offer. But these are neurotic times and this is one place where people can collect imperfect and incomplete information to help themselves figure out where they stand. If someone doesn't want to share their stats they can ignore or kindly decline, but can we stop the snarkiness and policing in here?

What's the usual turn around on Cravath CBs? If I we haven't heard back yet from a thurs or fri CB is it a ding?

So it's safe to presume other Friday interviewers are destined for dings?

Um. wouldn't say safe to assume. Maybe the partner you interviewed with that will end up calling you didn't want to make a saturday phone call.

I'd wait until Tuesday or Wednesday for the doubt to start.
