Wow... so I didn't realize this until now, but you can only sign up for 2 firms once every 24 hours (instead of 2 firms once every sign-up period), so if you signed up for firms at 12:32pm and 12:35pm the day before, you will not be able to sign up for more firms until those times on the following day, meaning you will miss a bunch of the good firms which go at like 12:30~12:31pm.

And with that, you've educated me more than three hours of OCI orientation.

The blue boxes are alright. I hear they cost like $13 each though for student organizations so that's way more expensive than catering from a local restaurant like Snail Thai or Chipotle or something.

The interview process itself actually hasn't seemed that stressful - it just feels like talking to random people you've never met before for 20 minutes. It only sucks if the interviewer is kind of awkward (or if you did 0 prep for your interview).

The stress-inducing aspect of OCI (for me) has been the other students nervously standing in the hallways - especially the 200 transfer students that UChicago apparently admitted this year since it feels like over half of the people at OCI are people I have never seen before. Seeing other people stressed makes me stressed.

I kinda don't get this - I mean other than the occasional awkward gaps, like, you can just leave. Lots of coffee shops and places to chill between interviews other than shitty Booth. I'm not sure why anyone's spending any more time there than absolutely necessary.

'twas interesting when someone frantically ran to the OCS desk and asked if they're screwed cuz they only had 12 interviews cuz they heard that "everyone else has twice as many"

I mean tbf 23 is over 10% of our class.
