If there was no mention of (casual) dress code for the interview in any of the email correspondences with the recruiter, is the safe move to default to suit for the CB?

For those that have interviewed in the DC office, did you get a feel of how many of these interviews they were doing a day?

I doubt a suit is ever a safe (or wise) move for a QE interview. Their whole shtick is about how laid-back they areAnonymous User wrote:If there was no mention of (casual) dress code for the interview in any of the email correspondences with the recruiter, is the safe move to default to suit for the CB?

Curious as to why it matters. If I had to guess, two. One in the afternoon one in the morning. But who knows they keep you pretty separated so it could be a carousel, but I doubt itAnonymous User wrote:For those that have interviewed in the DC office, did you get a feel of how many of these interviews they were doing a day?

Yeah showing up decked up in a suit is a good way to show you don't know anything about the firm. That being said, I'm sure it's not an automatic dingAnonymous User wrote:I doubt a suit is ever a safe (or wise) move for a QE interview. Are people bringing resumes / transcripts to CBs? What did you bring them in?

I was offered after wearing a suit to the interview. The clothes aren't going to make or break you. If you don't go with a suit, still dress well.Anonymous User wrote:I doubt a suit is ever a safe (or wise) move for a QE interview. Current QE summer. You may have gotten an offer - and congrats! - but you should be 100% certain that there was a group of summers and associates sitting in an office making fun of you for wearing a suit. Because we do that every time someone shows up in a suit.Anonymous User wrote:I was offered after wearing a suit to the interview. The clothes aren't going to make or break you. don't remember anyone making fun of people for wearing a suit and definitely don't sit in a mixed group of summers and associates
that said, if you wear a suit, I wouldn't wear a tie
(not saying that the above post is necessarily flame, but it seems like it to me)

Received an offer from one of the offices last week by phone, but haven't received any follow up from recruiting making it official. Anyone else in the same situation? How long did it take to receive your letter, and was it by mail or email?
