Drinker Biddle snail mail ding
3.5-3.6- this one I don't really get, maybe the "it's a safety firm" thing was in my head, but thought the interview went ok
distinctly beginning to get nervous - 0 cbs so far

I think law school admissions may mess with people's ability to understand legal hiring (particularly interpretation of things like medians).

Re: 2012 NU OCI
Well, if a school has 3.5/162 medians, and you have a 3.7/170, you probably feel pretty good about your chances there, and rightly so. If a firm has a 3.45 CB median and you have a 3.6, that honestly says very little about your chances at that firm.Anonymous User wrote:What do you mean by this? Just curious.IAFG wrote:

Yup. Seems like if you don't click with your interviewer, you're toast regardless of your GPA.

I don't think that's universally true at the big firms. Applying to firms that are only taking two people, or are in secondaries where you have no ties? Now that'll sink you.Anonymous User wrote:Yup. Seems like if you don't click with your interviewer, you're toast regardless of your GPA.

What happened to Chicago firms moving slowly? The interviews were just today! Any CBs with interviewers starting with M & I?

I dunno. I've interviewed with 6 Chi firms and only have heard from one. Granted 3 were today, but still if some places are making same day callbacks this waiting is really shaking my confidence.Anonymous User wrote:What happened to Chicago firms moving slowly? Some firms do same day CBs. Others where interviewers make the calls might depend. See Jenner - apparently Thursday people got calls from their guy, and Wednesday people have crickets.

I was warned about this from some 3ls...I think we just have to roll with it a bit and hoped that these firms doing stuff early might do a few wavesAnonymous User wrote:I dunno.
