Got a Mayer DC callback almost a month after the screener. Wonder if I got promoted off the waitlist.

Word has it that the information from Northwestern's OCI was, how do you say, misplaced for a while. Someone there lost it for a while.Anonymous User wrote:Got a Mayer DC callback almost a month after the screener. Wonder if I got promoted off the waitlist.

Has anyone gotten a rejection from Sidley's DC office? Just wondering whether it's because of Carter Phillips's likely lack of time to sign a bunch of letters or because they're doing a "wait list" thing..

I know some people have callbacks from Schiff Hardin and some people have dings, but I have neither as of yet. Anyone else in limbo? Starting to wonder if my ding got lost in the mail.

Cahill offer. Received 3 hours after CB. Very excited given Cahill's preeminence in the type of law that I would like to practice.

The Cahill interviewer kicked me out 10 mins early when I interviewed (in a 20 min interview)! But congrats on the offer it is a great firm in its area of focus!

Someone offhand mentioned to me that they don't think Jones Day actually plans to take many summers this year - not sure if they meant in general or just from their belated NU OCI. Has anyone else heard this/know if it's accurate or why someone may think that?
(I have an interview tomorrow and just wondering how futile it really is...)

I have heard this as well. I have also heard that Jones Day has an abornally high GPA cutoff this year. The word on the street is that there is a hard cutoff at 3.70 (before they will even begin to consider you).Anonymous User wrote:Someone offhand mentioned to me that they don't think Jones Day actually plans to take many summers this year - not sure if they meant in general or just from their belated NU OCI. Congrats! What did the recruiter tell you the timeline would be at the end of the callback? The recruiter told me I would probably hear at the end of the week or maybe even the following week. Is that similar to what they told you and then you got an offer 3 hours later? Just trying to figure out what to expect. Thanks.Anonymous User wrote:Cahill offer. Received 3 hours after CB.
