Re: 2022 Pre-OCI Megathread
I know this sounds ridiculous but got one offer from a V5 and one from a V25. The V25 right after my offer, I got emails from my interviewers congratulating me and saying they hope to see me in their summer class. But I got nothing from the V5. Is this typical? Or am I just not as wanted at the V5 (for reference: I had a connection at the V5 so feeling like I might’ve just gotten a courtesy offer to please the partner). But now it’s kind of making me question if I should take the V5

Fair. But I do doubt that many firms have truly filled up before OCI has even started at most schools (or at least most T-14s).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 7:49 pmSome people in other TLS threads alluded that some firms had filled up all ready

Re: 2022 Pre-OCI Megathread
FWIW, Latham and Skadden told my T-14 in May that they were planning on filling their classes before OCI. So our career office told us that if we wanted one of those firms, you should apply early

Skadden NY was supposed to OCI as part of consortium program(USC,UCLA, Iowa, Emory, Wash U, Minnesota, Wisconsin) and they cancelled the day interview slots went out. So imagining that office is full or close to full.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 8:58 pmFWIW, Latham and Skadden told my T-14 in May that they were planning on filling their classes before OCI. Re: 2022 Pre-OCI Megathread
I doubt most are filled. We can see the number of interview slots open for our school and most of them are the same or are slightly smaller then last year. There have been firms in DC that have pulled out of OCI but those are very few and most firms in NY still have lots of interview slots open.

First off, this was very funny haha. Second, maybe you should go ahead and apply and let them know you’ll send an updated transcript upon receipt of your property grade? I applied to a bunch of firms before my final grades were in and then just sent them a complete transcript later, and it was totally fineAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 11:53 pmI stg if I missed my chance at firms because my fucking property professor can't get my final grade back I'll drop out and become a bush pilot in Alaska

They say this but this will very much not happen. Everyone should apply early anywhere that is accepting, regardless, but it will not foreclose opportunities.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 8:58 pmFWIW, Latham and Skadden told my T-14 in May that they were planning on filling their classes before OCI. Would you count a ding from the Cleary early interview program as an actual rejection? Meaning, should I not bid cleary at OCI after being rejected from this program?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 12:26 pmThank you. I thought they were rolling with the latest interview request to be july.

I've applied to a bunch, and they came back to me with requests for full transcripts. Which I don't have yet, and at this rate might not have before OCI.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 9:25 amFirst off, this was very funny haha. Re: 2022 Pre-OCI Megathread
How did people receive Latham “hold tight” emails? Was it an unprompted email from the recruiter, or perhaps in response to the thank-you email you sent the recruiter after a screener? I had a screener (DC) 7/14 and am wondering if/when I can expect a HTE.

Has anyone heard from Cleary NY CB? And if so, how long did it take to hear (either offer or rejection) after the CB?

lol. Definitely UVA. Re: 2022 Pre-OCI Megathread
Jumping in to just say you shouldn't pick the V25 for solely this reason. I participated in the OCI process as a student not too long ago and really appreciated the firms that sent the follow ups, but not every firm does this. It doesn't truly reflect their culture all that much IMO.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 7:16 pmI know this sounds ridiculous but got one offer from a V5 and one from a V25.
