Were you the guy who had ATR-NY references checked? ATR(DC)/reference check. No change here.

Greetings:

I updated Antitrust finalists for all Antitrust locations a few minutes ago. Based on the number, these appear to be primary candidates so it is possible that additional finalists will be designated later.

So what does that mean? "primary candidates"? Are those the first-round offers? Did they not choose as many finalists as there are spots?

Not sure. I assume that means all first-round offers, since if there weren't enough finalists she would definitely be selecting more down the road, as opposed to "possibly." Either way, :(.

Did you have your references checked? Really deflated right now. Spent the last two weeks shifting between convincing myself I had it and convincing myself I had no chance. Had everything lining up the right way. Ambiguous language at a time like this is awful.

From Deana just now: "I just posted the finalists for the Civil Division, Office of Immigration Litigation."

I received offers from both ATR(DC) (from the section I had spent a summer with as a SLIP) and ATR(NY). I accepted the offer in NY.

Yes. I'm the guilty one. Realized the mistaken assumption and fixed it 2 seconds later. My apologies...been a long day. So my new "So you're telling me there's a chance..." theory: They coordinated with the field office to identify the people getting dual offers and gave those out first.

One last question if you'll forgive me. Did you do SLIP in a civil section or a criminal section? In the past years the individual civil sections didn't give offers is why I asked.

For summer 2013, SLIPs were only in civil sections.

If you don't mind, did you interview with both DC and a field office, have you received offers, and have you accepted?

Not that I know of for references, and I am sure I would have heard. No rejection email, either - might be too early for that, if they are just posting finalists now. Still tough!

Ask and you will receive. From Deana: "I just added two more finalists for Antitrust-Washington. There may be more coming; I've asked and will post news as soon as I get it."

Oh its moving now! I am absolutely tearing my hear out. This was almost as bad as when I was waiting for the LSAT score, finding out whether I passed the bar exam in NY or even getting into college.

I might be bald by Wednesday.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
