Re: Quinn Emanuel Hiring Timeline
Michigan/Northwestern/Cornell, GPA is 4.17 (2nd in class), applying to DC office.
Submitted application materials June 10, got invited for a CB June 27, CB coming up this week.
DC's hiring timeline seems to move a little bit less quickly than the other offices. I have friends with offers in hand from NY and LA as of a couple of weeks ago.

Very much a fit interview. Only One of the five interviewers actually picked up my resume and looked at it, the rest were just random conversationsAnonymous User wrote:Congrats! There's no difference, the other anon is being classic law school antisocial and probably doesn't even realize it.Anonymous User wrote:Sorry what's the difference between me getting an offer and me knowing of a close friend getting an offer?Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Friend got offered on the spot at SF.Anonymous User wrote:anyone hear from the SF office? And your wondering why you didn't get offered? Read the thread, they are spot-offering people unless the hiring partner isn't there, then 1-2 days afterAnonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Friend got offered on the spot at SF.Anonymous User wrote:anyone hear from the SF office? All quinn offices operate the same way. They spot offer if they can. What they do is start an email chain with your materials and it goes out to all your interviewers, after each interview the interviewer replies all with "yes" or "no". Get all yes and the HP is there, they print your letter and hand it to you. They know while you are there if you are getting am offer or not. DC, SF, Chi, doesn't matter.
You don't handle rejection well. Fix that before OCI

Anyone who's done a CB in the CA offices know what the CB dress code is? I've heard the NY office says business casual in their emails, but I never saw anything for my CA callback.

Question for the people who have done their CBs: I could imagine this sort of thing varies office by office, but did you get a schedule beforehand listing the attorneys you'd be interviewing with? I have my CB on Monday and didn't get anything before the weekend.
I feel like most firms give you the schedule a few days in advance (got them for my 1L OCI CBs), but I could see this being one of those things Quinn does differently.
