Thats what I was thinking. They seem to be almost entirely comprised of Rutgers and Seton Hall kids, so they probably just recruit locally and don't bother with people from schools outside of NJ.Anonymous User wrote:Assuming this is the Haddonfield office? Most likely, but I go to Villanova. We are only ~30/40 minutes from Haddonfield though. According to NALP, they go to:Anonymous User wrote:Thats what I was thinking. It's interesting to see that a lot of my dings come on the same day as 2L dings.

Every interview ive had with 4 attorneys has been a callback, with or without lunchAnonymous User wrote:when you say "screener," how long/involved is yours? Pretty credited I think. One is definitely a screener, two is probably a screener, three could be either but probably a callback, and four is definitely a callback.$$$$$$ wrote:Every interview ive had with 4 attorneys has been a callback, with or without lunchAnonymous User wrote:when you say "screener," how long/involved is yours? i appreciate that. ok i am just trying to figure out if after these meetings I will be "called back" for another round of interviews or what the deal is. i get the process when it's through OCI it's the mailing business that has me a bit more worried.$$$$$$ wrote:Every interview ive had with 4 attorneys has been a callback, with or without lunchAnonymous User wrote:when you say "screener," how long/involved is yours? I've had in-office interviews in which it's apparent that the only thing coming after that initial interview series is an offer or a rejection. (One firm explicitly said so.)Anonymous User wrote: i appreciate that. ok i am just trying to figure out if after these meetings I will be "called back" for another round of interviews or what the deal is. i get the process when it's through OCI it's the mailing business that has me a bit more worried.

Re: Mass Mail Interview Response Time?
It's definitely a calback, I have a couple from mass mails and they were all screeners (1 attorney or HR person), I also have one from resume drop and its with 3 so im not too sure what it is, but my guess is a callback. They would not waste that much money to let you talk to 4 attorneys just to see if you should come in again...but what the hell do i know. Also, they will probably talk to you about how its really early in the process and so it may take a while to give you a decision.

That is exactly what they said; is it too hopeful to actually believe them and just wait it out for the offer? I appreciate your help here.$$$$$$ wrote:It's definitely a calback, I have a couple from mass mails and they were all screeners (1 attorney or HR person), I also have one from resume drop and its with 3 so im not too sure what it is, but my guess is a callback. E-mailed a DC firm recruiter, got an auto reply that she will be out of the office for the next week. Should I send an additional e-mail to someone else in the firm, or wait for this person to return from their leave?

Re: Mass Mail Interview Response Time?
quick question regarding firms I'm mass mailing in LA if anyone knows ~ Susman specifically says on its website that you must clerk to get a permanent offer. Does anyone know if Munger Tolles requires clerking for a permanent offer? I can't seem to find it on their website. (I know it's probably encouraged, but I want to know if it's a definitive pre-requisite)

Any news from anybody on Cahill offers? Somebody mentioned that at least one had gone out, but (frustratingly) offered nothing more specific than that.

Re: Mass Mail Interview Response Time?
I'm a bit confused. I transferred schools and withdrew before I got my pre-selections at my old school (my new school is all lottery). I re-forwwarded my resume to a firm I previously bid on at my old school, letting them know that I am still interested (despite not knowing whether they preselected me), and informing them of my transfer. In addition, this firm comes to OCI at my new school. The firm just sent me a generic ding email. Does this mean I shouldn't even bid on them via the lottery? Or perhaps some face time could change their opinion of me?
