A Houston Boutique (Ahmad Zavitsanos or AZA) matched and yet the majority of vault 100 New York firms haven’t lollll. Embarrassing for all of these second-tier firms.

It has been very informative for learning how miserable WilmerHale associates are. Can't blame them.

LOL at Norton Rose’s 2300 billable requirement for non-NYC/DC markets to get the full raise.

FulbrighTTT indeed: https://abovethelaw.com/2018/06/unequal ... ssociates/

Setting a pretty low bar for Hunton, HayBoo, Locke, Bracewell, etc. who don't want to match VE/BB/TK/Akin but can at least point to Fulbright and say "hey, it could be worse!"

I'd be pretty pissed if I was at an ostensibly top 20 firm that hadn't matched yet (W&C included).

We may want to give BSF a little more time before casting them out. In order to increase compensation, the firm has to upgrade the entire compensation formula for associates - which, I take it, is more involved than assigning what peer firms are doing. Word of mouth is that members of the partner committee that decides these things are actively working on it
Well BSF has had since 2016 to work on it...

From who? Not imminent as in nobody has heard anything or not imminent as in someone heard that it isn't going to happen?

This. The last round of salary increases created the problem, and this one only exacerbated it. Many associates have called this to the partnership’s attention. So that “word of mouth” may be true, but the previous anon is being too generous. They have been wishing away the problem for months.

the latter. as in no imminent plans of matching. by imminent i mean in the next week or two. i'd say there will be a match eventually by the end of july (and hopefully bonuses, but who knows at this point), but the management is clearly more out of touch than most people had anticipated or feared.

Wilmer Fail is first loser.

ShepparTTT MuTTTin is second loser.

KaTTTen is third.

Wonder if that's just where the line is drawn.

Until we see a screenshot, I'd assume all Friday-before-paycheck rumors are crap.

Based on the last few posts, WH's plan is clearly to wait long enough that Associates eat each other to lower leverage and then announce just in time for OCI. And it's working.
