honest to god if your weekend is ruined because your firm announces on monday instead of today you deserve the later announcement. jfc.motojir wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 12:51 pmAny firm that ultimately matches, but chooses to do so after the weekend is making a big mistake. You're needlessly ruining your associates' weekend. If I were a recruiters I would spend this weekend mass-contacting associates at any super-rich firm that doesn't match by end of day.

Boy I sure am glad my firm announced today, rather than Monday, that we'll be getting a bonus in three months.

Has anyone else snapped at a junior / staff person today because they’re on edge waiting for a bonus announcement?

From the memo "The below special bonuses will be paid to associates and special counsel who are employed by the firm and in good standing on the payment dates, and who are on track to work 1,950 creditable hours or more in 2021, as measured pro rata and adjusted for FTE as of May 30 and August 31, respectively. Those who do not satisfy the hours criteria for the June bonus will be eligible to receive the total payment shown above if they meet the hours threshold for the September bonus. These bonuses will be paid in full and are not subject to proration, although merit bonuses for calendar year 2021 will be subject to proration according to our merit bonus policy."Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 1:44 pmAny info on hours requirements/laterals?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 12:04 pmCooley match. ETA: Also realize I only put class of 2018 figures. It's the same scale as DPW for all class years.

Re: 2021 Special Bonuses
Who genuinely thinks about switching firms because their <$50k bonus is either a little late or a little lower than a rival's? Why would you walk away from all the goodwill and internal relationships just for a few extra dollars and probably reset your billable count at the next shop. I can't imagine the people that like to jump from firm to firm every time they're paid 90% of what someone else makes are truly going to succeed and be promoted meaningfully. In the UK the pay disparity is enormous and people are nowhere near this agitated.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 12:58 pmhonest to god if your weekend is ruined because your firm announces on monday instead of today you deserve the later announcement. jfc.motojir wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 12:51 pmAny firm that ultimately matches, but chooses to do so after the weekend is making a big mistake. RE: SPECIAL BONUS MEMORANDUM
DATE: MARCH 25, 2021
We have passed the point where we can easily track separate articles for each firm that announces bonuses.
Make a chart of all the firms by EOD pls.
thx.
Avenuem
I know you watched and listened, so thx. But in the future EOD doesn't mean 12:12 PM the next day. I'll let it go this time.

Full match. Half in May, half in September.
Edit to add: “good standing” - but no hours requirement.

Trying to figure out how to give the fewest possible associates a bonus so it doesn't hurt their $4.5M PPEP.

Why is this bizzare trolling anonymous?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 12:05 pmBecause they (unlike every other firm this year with the exception of Debevoise) don’t have to pay extra to retain people. In all seriousness, you would still be better off working for $0 for your first 1-2 years at KE than working for market at any other V10.ExpOriental wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 11:44 amI'm assuming this is some kind of weird troll job, but I'd love to hear the reasoning here.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 11:42 amstill calling no KE match (and that they don't come over the top).

Greenberg Traurig will not match as usual those cheap fuckers. $1.9M PEP in 2019 and no Covid bonuses last year and none of these either.

Doesn’t look like K&E is going to do it. They just sent our weekly firmwide announcement and acknowledged how hard everyone is working.

The fact that they acknowledged the hard work without acknowledging the bonuses is next level (though not surprising).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:35 pmDoesn’t look like K&E is going to do it. The Friday announcement email is rah rah look at how great we are/all the deals we've closed. No one should expect them to make an announcement re bonuses in that email. It'll come in a separate Firm Committee memo like all previous comp decisions.showusyourtorts wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:45 pmThe fact that they acknowledged the hard work without acknowledging the bonuses is next level (though not surprising).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:35 pmDoesn’t look like K&E is going to do it. You sure that's game? Weil did the same thing last year before the fall bonus too (firmwide weekly email that's silent on bonuses, then the bonus email after that)Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:35 pmDoesn’t look like K&E is going to do it. I know it's mostly just hand-wringing by people who don't actually believe Kirkland won't match, but if anyone genuinely believes it, I'm still waiting to hear what clownbrain logic you've used to come to that conclusion.
And the unfunny Deb troll doesn't count. I want someone to actually try.
