A little late to post this, but Latham Diversity Academy and Jones Day Diversity Conference selection emails last week. Still contemplating whether they're worth going to. T14.

I highly recommend going if you have any interest in either firm for 2L summer; these programs are great for networking, and tend to give an enormous leg up either at OCI or during a pre-OCI interview (which these will often get you). And, let me tell you, skipping OCI is a beautiful, beautiful thing.

I got a very nice phone call rejection from Baker Botts Dallas after a callback a couple weeks ago (why would a firm do this? Lol) and I know a couple classmates that got fast track offers from Haynes and Boone Dallas a couple weeks ago.

It's so that you don't think badly of them come OCI - they don't want to lose you as a candidate, especially if you made it all the way to callbacks.
