To follow up here, the main hotel where the conference is being held is now sold out. The lowest prices I found online were around $230, but the hotel itself has no more rooms (aside from those that have been purchased for re-sale by the third-party sites).Anonymous User wrote:If it helps anyone, there is a Hilton a mile away (11 mins on the train) that was at $84 on Hotwire. That's where I will be.
I, too, booked the Hilton up the street. I think I paid $99 through Hotels.com, but it could have been a few dollars cheaper if I had pre-paid with no cancellation option.

Really stoked about the Bronx Defenders acceptance. My only concern is how I could afford living there for about 3 months.

3L, rejected by Miami, Palm Beach and Mecklenburg, accepted by Bronx. Isn't this supposed to be the other way around?

New York is really, really expensive. And I am pretty sure the Bronx Defenders is unpaid.

What do you guys think is the best way to reapply independently? Do you think we should just wait to speak to the employers at table talks and just ask them what the best way is? Or should we send resumes and cover letters directly to their offices ASAP?

I cancelled the reservation for that hotel because it was way too expensive, and booked a hotel through hotel.com!Anonymous User wrote:M or F?Anonymous User wrote:Is anyone interested in rooming with me? Hotel is almost sold out, and the best rate was $600 (for both nights).
My final count is
Accept: NH, Miami, Mecklenburg, Bronx, and Hannepin
Deny: San Diego Fed PD; Brooklyn; Colorado; Orleans; NJ; Palm Beach.
This entire, scary experience has made me realize that I have to hustle!

Yep same here. I don't really have an explanation for it. Maybe the system automatically updated it to that status. We probably won't really know until Monday. But it would be nice to hear back today.
