Does anyone have contact info for Andrews Kurth? I go to an out-of-state school and tried emailing the recruiting coordinator (using the address on NALP) an updated resume and telling her I was gonna be in town, but my email bounced.

T6 school, have callbacks at HayBoo, V&E, and BB Dallas this coming week.
Does anyone know if it's possible to request a split between the Dallas and Houston offices for these firms? Is it difficult to request?

Definitely not difficult to request for BB. It's done fairly frequently. I'm sure someone will chime in for the other two. At HayBoo, I've only seen people working in one or the other. No experience with V&E.Anonymous User wrote:T6 school, have callbacks at HayBoo, V&E, and BB Dallas this coming week.

Does NRF send out dings? I had my screener 10 days ago and still haven't heard back.

Anyone know if PH is waiting to give out offers until they do their second CB or what is the deal there?

Last year they sent out dings about two weeks after screeners to most of those who didn't get CBs, but not all. Specifically I (invited to the CB dinner but never got a CB) didn't get dinged until all of their slots were filled in mid-October. It seems (from past posters and my own anecdata point) that they try to only give out as many CBs as they have slots and then give out additional CBs only as necessary, at least at UT.Anonymous User wrote:Does NRF send out dings? They also sent out at least one mid-September post-CB ding.

20+ screeners @UT w/ 2 CBs.
Only 1 ding.
Is UT slower with dings than other schools?

Thanks for the info. What about BB and VE? I'm at an out of state school and have no idea what to expect, timeline wise.

I'm the poster above who has had radio silence from NRF, and I also go to an out of state school. I got a CB from BB a day after my screener. Got a CB from V&E two days after my screener.Anonymous User wrote:Thanks for the info. What about BB and VE? I'm at an out of state school and have no idea what to expect, timeline wise.
It's weird because I thought my NRF interview was actually the best of the 3, but I guess not...

Does anyone know when firms update their NALP forms? Curious from the standpoint of offer rate with some groups.

Re: 2014 Texas OCI (UT and other schools bidding on TX)
I have accepted at a good firm, but the program is only 6 weeks and is first half. Most (if not all) of the other firms I applied to either a) have a first half program only or b) rejected me. Any thoughts on what to do? Does it look bad to the firm if I don't have another firm I'm working at second half? In other words, are they going to think "hmmm... she wasn't good enough to get a second half firm job... maybe we should rethink giving her a permanent offer..."
What are other people planning to do their second half of summer?
OCI was brutal. I seriously underestimated how competitive it would be. It's like Hunger Games on crack. I hope everyone is staying alive...

It doesn't look terrible, especially since so many firms are 1st half only. You can also subtly let your partner know at some point that you had a number of options for first half and chose their firm because it was the one for you, and you're glad you made the right choice.Anonymous User wrote:I have accepted at a good firm, but the program is only 6 weeks and is first half. As for what to do with your second half, if you don't get another firm job before the Tx State Agencies start hiring, consider doing one of those for credit. It's a nice way to knock out 3 hours that you otherwise have to take during 3L. The OAG is basically a biglaw firm with better hours, crappy pay, and March 2nd off.
