Have any NSD finalists actually received an offer? Deana Willis made it seem like offers would go out very soon after finalists were announced, but I haven't heard anything....

Sorry to ask a stupid question this late in the thread, but I am not sure how to access the Avue threads that some individuals keeping referring to. I have checked up and down my Avue account but have not seen anything about this application cycle. Can someone direct me to where I can find this?

Click on "Community" tab, then "Law Students and Graduates" and there's a little forum.

For what it's worth, I looked back at the 2012-2013 Honors thread and almost all components did not select finalists until over a week after the conclusion of interviews. For example, interviews concluded on 11/2/12 and the first post about finalist/offer for ATR(DC) was on 11/16 and said they received an offer a "few days before." I don't think today's the day. Now Monday, that may be the day. Today, let's get some work done.

Haven't heard anything other than status changed to finalist

Anyone else have reason to think they don't necessarily call all your references? Only one of mine is in the habit of telling me when they get a call. And it's not the one who actually works at DOJ.

I posted this earlier, but they only called one of mine when I got an offer.

I know there's at least one SD Cal person out there who had references contacted: Did they contact all of your references, to your knowledge?

Other NSD finalist, just received my offer a few minutes ago. If you got one too, mind sending a PM?

Well, it's 5 p.m. on the east coast, so I guess most of us are done until Monday (because government working hours). Congrats to everyone who got good news this week! Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Yep. Looks like Monday. Looking at this spreadsheet, I'm wondering if ATR(DC) just called everyone's references? Just have the one that's not sure. Did anyone interview who knows their references were not called? Seems like it'd be a waste of resources to call for everyone.

I doubt they called references for everyone. The spreadsheet is too small of a sample size to draw any conclusions from. Plus, with the amount of people that ATR is hiring, the people whose references were called for ATR could all get offers.

In previous years, the candidate was marked as a finalist first and then references were contacted.

Okay, thanks.

My interviewer told me finalists will be notified next week or the first week of December. However, I was also told by my interviewer that candidates had already been ranked on a spreadsheet and that all that was left was to input the geographic preferences on this spreadsheet. I'm hoping they did all of that last week so we can find out about finalists this week.

Would crim finalists post stats? HYSCCN, non-feeder clerkship. Judge 1L summer, biglaw 2L. Didn't get it.

Offers and placements will also depend on what cities people ranked and how flexible they are so I wouldn't lose hope. Good luck!

lol, I wouldn't really worry about that. My interviewer made it seem like the interview itself counted for basically nothing. She told me that applicants had already been ranked pre-interview.

Avue was down for a little while, but now it's back, and I'm listed as a finalist. Not sure for which position, but be ready, ATR folks.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
