Haha yeah dude its definitely a dual interview - 2 on 1. I'd say 2/3 of my interviews were like this at OCI last year.
Also a heads up from people who missed firms - try reaching out to people you know there (alums, 3L's from who worked where, etc.) to see if they can help. I know that at the NYC v5 I was at this summer, the recruiting staff actively encouraged us to send them candidates. I bet if I asked them to try a sneak someone in for an interview, they'd try to do it.
Wait, this isn't serious right?
Edit: to clarify, this is two STUDENT names, not two INTERVIEWER names that we're talking about, I think

Yeah he meant two students. And at least for one of my interviews, the student with whom I share the timeslot had a different room listed in symplicity than I did; I'd assume this is the case for all firms.

They're not going to do multiple student interviews. That would be my nightmare.

This is ridiculous. They aren't going to interview two candidates in the same room. It just means the firm is big interviewing in two rooms.

Can't believe STB went so late considering their %cb numbers and the quality of the firm

Will we get information about who our interviewers are? I don't think I see that info posted yet. I would like to stalk them before the interview.

You get that info the day of by talking to the career services table. This is generally plenty of time.
They will also release a schedule on chalk, but that one may be incorrect bc changes in atty schedules.

Or just ask someone working at that firm. We know who is going.

You will not interview with another student those are separate rooms. Jesus lol.
Sorry folks who missed S&C that's partially my doing I imagine I'm stunned they filled at 16 I figured 19ish was the number. Your class seems to be more into NY than ours though but who knew. You can probably pick them up through sign ups or gunning. They have a competent recruiting department too and might consider mass mail for the right candidate. I'd do it through a 3L who summered there though.

8) Yeah 16 was actually the filling point; some people who put S&C at 16 got it, and others didn't. So you were all were actually spot on when you recommended that it be around there, but this year just seems to be NY-heavy, which is kind of disappointing TBH.
I think s&c and csm filled up faster--prob bc people saying they dip just as low as other v10s. But lots of other NY firms went pretty late (see PW which went way earlier last year). Don't get too anxious just yet.

"We" as in current summers, or are you talking about actual attorneys at the firm?
We as in summers. But not all summers know who's going to OCI.
My impression is that firms with lots of UChi alums have lots of people wanting to go to OCI and they rotate.

So I'm starting to get worried because I'll be interviewing in four cities. Should I drop the firms from two cities? As it stands, my list is as follows: 15 NY, 5 CA, 2 CHI and 1 MN

Need more info. If 180+LR and only interviewing at top firms in the markets its easy to have a cohesive story.

No that's a fine breakdown. You need to think about how you are going to answer the "where are you interviewing" question and how strictly honest you are going to be though. Again, don't lie, but think about how to word it to not look like you are interviewing everywhere.

I was given to believe that revealing interviews in more than two markets is the kiss of death no matter what your story. Could you please give an example a good answer?

This first depends on your grades. I interviewed in 6 markets, but was 181 + LR, so my story of "firm > geography" went over fine. The better your grades, the easier it will be to spin something.
Assuming average grades, then just be careful. Something like "I am interviewing almost exclusively in NY and CA" should be fine. Again, don't lie, but seriously, how hard is it to frame this the right way?

Great, thanks. I'm more on the average grade end.
