They do want fairly rare criteria. At my T-14 the number of CPAs is about 1/100 to 1/200. The rate of CFEs among CPAs is lower than 1/50. I would be shocked if there were more than 20 law students nationwide who have a CPA and CFE and master's in tax/accounting and are in law school and don't have a job.

Yeah, i interviewed there months ago and never understood what the hell they wanted.

Thats far from untrue. I just received an offer from a midsized firm that pays 100K. I also have not heard from 3 other midsized firms I interviewed with a week ago, and am now withdrawing my application. If you continue to apply to every firm and are ranked decently something can still happen. There are various small firms still posting on my symplicity.

Yes, now almost every private firm ship (other than shit law) has pretty much sailed. Congrats to those who got positions and for those who did not, keep plugging and keep your heads up high since there will be more opportunities next year.
